A Little Night Music
A contemporary marching band show with a deceiving title. While the title and optional pre-show music makes one think of Mozart, the bulk of the thematic material in the show is drawn from Hans Zimmer’s score for the Dark Knight movie trilogy. The middle tune changes gears featuring a Billy Joel ballad, Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel). You’ll also hear echoes of Brahms Wiegenlied (Lullaby), Swan Lake and Night on Bald Mountain. This show also has synth parts and sound design elements.

Drawing on sources as disparate as Mozart and Beethoven to Annie Lennox and Han Zimmer to Broadway, Passionate Dreams features a kaleidoscope of musical sounds that revolve around the concept of dreams.

Interwoven
Looking for a show to feature your front ensemble? Interwoven is the show for your band. The first and last movements are based on HeliX, a percussion ensemble by Eric Rath. The ballad, Human by Christina Perri, features an alto sax solo.

Summer of Love
Dig in your closets for your tie-dye t-shirts and bell-bottom jeans as this show takes you back to the Summer of Love. Based on Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In, Nights in White Satin, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, this show has plenty of opportunities for creative costuming, props and staging.

Legends of the Norse
Featuring music from both contemporary and classic sources, Legends of the Norse evokes the spirit of the Vikings. Music excerpts include Game of Thrones Main Title, Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin as well as the music of Wagner, Grieg and Mussorgsky.

The Illusion of Time
The Illusion of Time features the Grammy award-winning Billie Eilish hit, No Time to Die, the title song from the 2021 James Bond movie of the same name. The show opens with a mashup of Clocks by Coldplay and Times Like These by Foo Fighters. The ballad, No Time to Die, features a brooding flugelhorn solo, a driving slow groove chorus and a “Bond chord” stinger. The show wraps up with Time Warp from cult classic film, “Rocky Horror Picture Show”. The closer has plenty of opportunities for unison body movement by the band including an optional pitch bend effect from the Bluecoats’ 2014 show, Tilt.

Circus (Step Right Up)
Everyone loves the circus. Written for Greenville High School’s 2019 season, the show opens with an optional pre-show chorale based on the trio of Thunder & Blazes. A short fanfare begins the opener, “Under the Big Top”, followed by a traditional roll-off and a corps-style version of the top half of Thunder & Blazes. A segue takes us into Sabre Dance featuring the woodwinds and a drum solo. The second movement, “The Greatest Show on Earth”, is a medley of two tunes from the popular film, “The Greatest Showman”. The final movement, “Cirque du Rouge”, features tunes from Cirque du Soleil and then comes to a rousing conclusion with the final half of the trio to Thunder & Blazes with an ending reminiscent of a certain drum corps that wore long banana yellow jackets.

Worth a Thousand Words
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This adage serves as an inspiration for a reimagining of Moussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition interwoven with melodic phrases from Bread’s 1971 soft rock hit If which asks the question “If a picture paints a thousand words…” This show has solo and small ensemble feature moments as well as opportunities to demonstrate your band technical expertise.

Rhapsody!
Rhapsody is a rollicking three-movement mashup featuring Queen’s iconic hit Bohemian Rhapsody and Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. The instrumentation calls for piano in addition to the normal instruments found in the front ensemble. The show begins with piano and brass quartet and there are several solo opportunities. The show ends quietly with a horn solo and piano.

Snake Charmer
Snake Charmer is based on the concert band work of Randall Standridge. This arrangement spotlights the full range of the front ensemble with 4 keyboard parts, timpani and 3 percussion parts (10 players). The music lends itself to a variety of exotic props and visual designs.

Originally written for Greenville HS in 2018, this show is based on Randall Standridge’s concert bank work by the same name. This arrangement allows all sections of the band to shine.

British Wind Traditions
This Medium-Easy show celebrates the music of Gustav Holst and Ralph Vaughan Williams with excerpts from Holst’s First Suite in E-Flat and Moorside Suite as well as Vaughan Williams’ English Folk Song Suite.
Dance
Dance is a fun and easy show celebrating movement to music. It features a number of pop and classical melodies that reference dancing including Shut Up and Dance, Save the Last Dance for Me, Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances, Tchaikovsky’s “March of the Toy Soldiers” from The Nutcracker, and Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5.

Victory on the Brazos
This is an original show conceived as a musical interpretation of a fictional battle during the fight for Texas independence. It was originally written for Lanier High School in Austin. There are four movements; The Coming Storm, Confrontation, Honor the Fallen, and Triumphal Entry.
10 Squared
This is a an original show based on the hymn tune, The Old Hundredth, or as it is more commonly known, The Doxology. All of the melodic material is based on the hymn but is not presented in its traditional form until the second half of the final movement.
